This year, we are thrilled to announce that our slide is complete…you may have noticed us working on it last year. Well now the secret is out! Come out and experience our 40 ft long Goat Mountain slide – fast and fun!

Sticking with past year trends of welcoming a grandchild on a yearly basis, we have been blessed this Spring with the arrival of 2 babies. Congratulations to our youngest daughter & husband who welcomed twins, Ellie & Garnet on March 25, 2012.
The twins are all set for their first Easter as they pose for photographer, Stephen Rollich . Whether it is your 1st, 5th or 40th Easter, bring your camera and family out this weekend to the farm and get your very own shot with Downey’s Easter Bunny.
The Easter Bunny and his helpers have been working overtime getting ready for all the 
great events happening at the farm April 6, 7 & 8 for Easter. Not only have they have been stuffing lots of Easter bags full of treats for everyone, but here’s some more fun they have in store for you and your family:
The fun happens between 10am-5pm over the three days.
Although Spring doesn’t officially begin for another 15 days, this balmy weather can’t help but get you thinking about putting away winter clothes, taking off the snow tires and packing away the winter sports equipment. Spring also marks many things here at the farm.
New babies – We currently have 13 baby goats and 2 baby lambs in the barn who are all excited to meet you. We are also anxiously awaiting March 31st when my wife and I welcome twin grandchildren, making a dozen of grandchildren!
Easterfest – The Easter Bunny will be hopping his way to the farm for March 31, April 1,6,7 &8 for our Annual Easterfest. Live entertainment, puppet shows, wagon rides, face painting, egg decorating and the Great Egg Scramble. An event you and you family will want to attend!
Spring Cleaning - After the snow dissapears and we are left with no more ‘it’s too cold’ excuses, it is time to head outdoors to freshen up our lawns and gardens. This definetly applies to the farm as we clean up outdoors, freshen up the Play Area, clean animals stalls…you get the hang of it. We are also inside the market getting ready to open our doors for the official May 1st opening.
New faces – As we open the doors for the 2012 season, we look forward to welcoming our loyal customers back to the farm as well as meeting new guests that will enjoy the fun and memories Downey’s has to offer. Thank you to everyone who came out to the farm this year to enjoy Pumpkinfest. The official end of Pumpkinfest was noted Tuesday morning as pumpkins, scarecrows and fall decorations were replaced by snowmen, reindeer and tree ornaments. The Christmas season has started folks!
Staff members really started to talk about the holiday season this morning while decorating our 2 Fraser Fir trees in the barn market. Christmas trees will be available beginning November 26th. Pick out your family tree then let us cut to your liking and wrap it for you while you enjoy some hot apple cider inside.
Lunch with Santa is beginning to fill up. Give us a call to book your special spot with the big man himself. Your kids will love singing and dancing with the elves and Santa, then some 1 on 1 time with St. Nick too!
